What can Corporate Gift Giving do for you?
· Build customer relationships and loyalty
· Improve service level from suppliers
· Develop employee goodwill and productivity
· Increase top-of-mind awareness with prospective customers
· Improve relationships with government agencies, media and others
Basic Rules of Gift Giving:
· Avoid blatant self promotion. A logo or advertising imprint, unless tastefully done, can detract from a gift’s value. In most cases, limit these types of imprints to branded apparel, packaging and/or gift card
· Use only promotional products of high perceived quality (especially when giving food gifts). Private label items and gift certificates to mass merchandise stores carry a low perceived value and should be avoided
· Although Convenient, cash or cash equivalents should rarely if ever be considered as gifts to employees, and NEVER to customers, vendors or others outside your company.
· Although Liquor and Wine, a traditional favorite in some circles, these types of gifts are becoming less popular due to religious and/personal standards that may preclude liquor consumption. Never consider liquor wine as a corporate gift unless you are absolutely certain every recipient will appreciate it.
· We recommend gifts such as gifts of Trips, Restaurant Dinners, tickets to sporting events included in your gift giving program only when your Company’s management or sales representatives will accompany the recipient to the event, thus maximizing the potential for enhanced personal relationship which will lead to Business deals.
